Things We Love About Flight Training In Jacksonville

Flying during beautiful weather, year-round. The weather in Jacksonville is Fabulous, with more than 300 good weather days a year- our pilots are able to fly more days than almost any other city in America!

Flying to Cedar Key is an absolute blast.

Flying southwest to the island of Cedar Key.  The airport sits in the middle of the island, on UNICOM call for the taxi to the town for a meal over the Gulf of Mexico, you can also stay overnight on the island.. This kind of adventure may be better off once you’ve already received your Private Pilot due to the complexity of landing on a small island cross-country flight.

Fly up the coast and have lunch at Southern Soul BBQ.

Come in time for lunch at one of the best BBQ spots in the south. Come in and watch the planes fly with every tasty morsel! A great excuse for a “cross country flight” with your flight instructor.

Fly Up the St. John’s river by flying south.

With pre-designated routes for both North and South traffic, see the St. John’s river views the way they were meant to be seen- from the air! Get trained on things like lost diversions, basic VOR tracking, basic airmanship and cross-country skills with a VIEW.  The St. John’s river is one of two rivers that flow NORTH. There are plenty of airstrips to land and have a bite.
